Job summary

Jackson Creek Memory Care is seeking a dedicated cook to maintain a clean kitchen and prepare meals for residents in a long-term care setting. You will follow menus, supervise portions, and adjust cooking for special diets while ensuring food safety and sanitary standards.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least one year of hospital or long-term care cooking experience, plus ServSafe certification. PCC familiarity and health department standards are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook in a hospital or long term care facility for not less than one year.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate.
• Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.
• Must remain in good standing with the Department of Public Health.

Orientation and Training

Participate in the orientation and on going training of dietary staff. Ability to make the presentation of the food appealing to the residents. Ability to cooperate. Willing to supervise and to work under supervision. To make sure all cleaning schedules are followed.

Supervisory Requirements

This job has supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate.
