Job summary

SodexoMagic is seeking a Cook at Texas Southern University to join our kitchen team. You will prepare and present both hot and cold dishes, delivering friendly customer service and contributing to a positive dining experience.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of related food-service experience is beneficial.
• Team-oriented, adaptable and reliable with a focus on a safe work environment.
• Willingness to work varying shifts and open availability.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot/cold items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or events.
• Read and follow basic recipes or product directions.
• May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte station or operate a grill.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned per unit requirements.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods, may include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.
• Read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items
• May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
