Are you ready to take your culinary skills to the next level? SGA List is on the hunt for experienced and passionate Cooks to join our dream team for the 2025 Ryder Cup, taking place from September 21 to September 28, 2025, at the iconic Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York!

Responsibilities
  • Prepare food to specifications before and during the event.
  • Measure and portion all food items, adhering to portion sizes, quality standards, and policies.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives, slicers, grills, ovens, and more.
  • Maintain proper food temperatures and storage practices to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Keep your workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, and fully stocked.
  • Follow all health codes and sanitation regulations diligently.
  • Adhere to waste control guidelines and record waste accurately on spoilage sheets.
  • Complete end-of-day inventory and perform other opening/closing duties as outlined in checklists.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support a successful culinary operation.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret prep sheets and recipes.
  • Basic math skills to understand and follow recipe proportions and measurements.
  • Must be available leading up to and during the Ryder Cup event.
Physical Requirements
  • Manual dexterity to chop, mix, blend, and prepare a variety of foods.
  • Ability to lift and carry large pans weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficient in safely handling and operating kitchen equipment.
  • Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
  • Frequently reach heights of 6-7 feet, twist, bend, and squat.
  • Occasionally push and pull equipment, mops, and brooms.
  • Work in a kitchen environment with moderate to high noise levels.
  • Be prepared to work in a hot and humid environment.
