Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network in Frisco, TX is seeking a Cook/Assistant Chef to ensure patient meals are prepared and portioned per menus in a sanitary, compliant environment. You will prepare items, label and store foods, and help supervise Nutrition Services staff.

The role emphasizes accurate tray presentation, temperature control, and adherence to facility policies across shifts. An on-site position with benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• Current state Food Manager Certificate.
• Experience in quality food preparation and production in either long-term care or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or directs preparation of food items on assigned menus.
• Labels, dates, and stores food items/leftovers after use.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment and work areas by cleaning immediately after use.
• Prepares special items, meals, and snacks as instructed by Nutrition Services Director/Chef.
• Instructs and supervises new employees and assists in training.
• Checks trays for attractive presentation, flavor, and temperature before serving.

This position ensures all meals are prepared in a sanitized environment and in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.$2,500.00 Incentive Bonus for Sign On.......
