New Communities, Inc. is seeking a Cook for our assisted living home in Farmington, ME. You will prepare meals, follow recipes, and assist residents in a warm, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include cooking, serving, and kitchen upkeep, while maintaining safe food handling practices to meet therapeutic needs of residents. This role is ideal for anyone who enjoys working with seniors and thrives in a team setting.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or over.
• Must communicate effectively with residents and coworkers whose primary language is English.
• Ideal candidate enjoys interacting with seniors in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare healthy, delicious meals following standardized recipes.
• Cook all menu items, serve residents, stock, and clean up after meals.
• Ensure safe food handling and preparation to meet residents' therapeutic needs.
• Support seniors in a caring, respectful manner throughout mealtime.

Cook role

As a Cook at our assisted living/senior living home located in Farmington, ME, you will support seniors to live life fully by preparing healthy, delicious meals. You will prep food, cook all menu items according to standardized recipes, serve, stock, and clean up after meals. You are responsible for safe food handling and preparing food to meet the therapeutic needs of the residents.

An ideal candidate enjoys interacting with seniors and is happy working in a professional senior home environment.

Opportunities

• Part time with Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 1:30p-6:30p with a pay range of $15.10 - $16.10.
• On-call/relief with a flexible schedule. Pay rate is $15.10/hour.
