Key Responsibilities

Purchase food and necessary supplies within budgetary requirements, ensuring adequate inventory levels. Maintain compliance with all regulatory bodies, including the Health Department and KDHE. Complete staff evaluations in a timely manner and communicate effectively with staff members. Schedule staff for proper coverage, considering workload and staffing requirements. Coordinate the daily menu, ensuring that frozen meat is thawed, sliced, and prepared for cooking. Prepare food with minimal waste, focusing on appearance, taste, and food safety standards. Monitor food temperatures to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Clean equipment, dishes, and work areas to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards. Restock and clean the cafeteria area to provide a pleasant dining environment for clients. Report any faulty equipment or problems to the supervisor promptly. Communicate effectively with coworkers to facilitate the delivery of services. Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate a commitment to the company's goals and objectives.

Experience and Education Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of one year of employment history in food service or related field. Basic understanding of nutrition is beneficial. Valid driver's license required. Successful completion of First Aid training is required.

Additional Requirements

Thorough knowledge of food preparation and cooking methods on a large scale, along with familiarity with materials and equipment used in food service operations. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with staff and clients. Adaptability, initiative, reliability, motivation, creativity, and cooperation in performing duties. Basic math skills and the ability to follow safety and security regulations. Problem‑solving ability and the capacity to handle various situations effectively. Ability to establish effective relationships and work collaboratively with team members at all levels.
