Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Cook to join our kitchen team at our Fairfax, VA location. You will prepare meals per standardized recipes, monitor quality and safety, and support dining services to create a pleasant dining experience for residents.

This role emphasizes following dietary modifications, maintaining clean work areas, and contributing to a compliant, coordinated kitchen team. Pay ranges from 17.30 to 21.70 per hour, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and PTO.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to standardized recipes and menus
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet Sunrise standards
• Follow dietary modifications and special meal requirements
• Record production quantities and food safety temperatures
• Stock, rotate, date, and store food per safety regulations
• Maintain clean kitchen, storage, and equipment areas
• Complete cleaning logs and equipment maintenance reports
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines
• Support dishwashing and dining service as needed
• Lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator
