Job summary

Provincial Senior Living is seeking a Cook to join our team in a dynamic Independent Living community. You will prepare hot and cold items across grill, sauté, salad-bar and service line while adhering to menu cycles and recipes.

Ideal candidates bring Senior Living experience or food production know-how, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Weekend availability is required to support weekend dining needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Senior Living preferred.
• Experience with production methods, portion control and food handling safety required.
• Great organizational skills a must.
• Strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail and presentation of food product is required.
• Must be able to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold menu items on grill, saute station, salad-bar and service line.
• Ensure proper preparation, portioning and serving of foods per menu and recipes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold menu items which requires working on the grill, sauté station, salad-bar and on the service line;
• Ensure the proper preparation, portioning and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and the standardized recipes;
• Taste and prepare food to determine quality and palatability.
