Job summary

Clearwater Highland Park, a premier luxury senior living community in Dallas, TX, is seeking a full-time Cook to join the team. You will prepare meals from planned menus, ensure safe temperatures, and supervise dishwashing when needed.

Responsibilities include ensuring proper presentation, compliance with health regulations, and collaboration with the Chef on menu changes. This role requires dedication to high quality and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Background clearances as required by government regulations.
• Minimum 2yr experience in a high volume scratch kitchen.
• Able to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items per planned menus and recipes, ensuring meals are appetizing and meet dietary requests.
• Ensure all food is served at correct temperature and charted accordingly.
• Ensure proper plate presentation for each dish.
• Consult with the Chef on menu changes or substitutions.
• Keep kitchen and storage areas clean and organized at all times.
• Follow governmental, sanitary, and dietitian regulations and internal policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items in accordance with planned menus and recipes provided and ensure the meals are appetizing, nutritional, and meet any special dietary requests or requirements
• Ensure all food is served at the correct temperature and charted as such
• Ensure there is proper plate presentation
• Consult with the Chef on any menu changes or substations
• Ensure food storage areas are clean and organized at all times
• Prepare food in accordance with all governmental, sanitary, and dietitian regulations as well as established policies and procedures
• Take care of food orders when they arrive in a timely mannerDispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies
• Ensure all leftovers are properly stored, labeled, and dated
• Record temperatures of refrigerators, freezers, and dishwashers
• Responsible for cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas
• May supervise Dishwashers in the absence of the Culinary Management
• Prepare upcoming menu items ensuring they are stocked, and pulled as directed by recipes
• Responsible for safe storage and efficient use of all items within the kitchen’s inventory
• Ensure regulatory compliance and report any issues or concerns immediately
• Comply with Clearwater Living standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient community operations
• Display a positive and professional image through actions and maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when workingRepresent the Clearwater Living principles and core values on a daily basis
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or required
