Job summary

Compass Post Acute Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated cook to join our dietary team. The role involves preparing meals in large quantities, ensuring adherence to physician orders and dietary restrictions, stocking and labeling food, and maintaining a clean work environment.

The position emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork in a healthcare setting. Candidate should have experience cooking in large quantities, follow recipes accurately, and contribute to a supportive, inclusive workplace.

• Cooking experience in large quantities is required.
• Ability to follow recipes and diet restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tasty & pleasant looking meals.
• Meet the dietary requirements established by the physician’s order; including substituting menu items as needed.
• Assure food items are appropriately stocked, labeled & fresh.
• Cover & store unused food according to standards & procedures for assuring quality & safety of food.
• Cleans work surfaces during shift – clean as you go: clean floors, wipe down counter space, and complete the daily cleaning schedule prior to shift end.
