Job summary

Sagora Senior Living is seeking a friendly Cook to join our Heritage Oaks Assisted Living & Memory Care community. You will prepare meals, ensure safety and cleanliness, and help train culinary team members in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment.

Qualified candidates have 1+ years in a commercial kitchen, ServSafe and Food Handler permits, and strong communication skills to interact with residents and families. PRN position with benefits available.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred.
• Must possess ServSafe Certification and a Food Handler’s permit as required by authorities.
• Ability to prepare specialized dishes for specific diets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with residents, families, and team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare à la carte items for residents.
• Monitor stock and rotate food items as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, storage, and work areas.
• Assist with training of Culinary team members.
• Follow established methods of meal prep and presentation.
• Serve meals promptly and courteously to residents.
