Job Title: Cook

Our franchise organization, Golden Corral, is currently seeking energetic, friendly individuals to join our team!

The Cook is responsible for ensuring the quality, quantity, tastiness, and freshness of all Hot Choice Buffet products. The role requires attention to speed, cleanliness, organization, and adherence to product specifications.

Responsibilities

1. Food Production:
   • Prepare Hot Choice Buffet products, including Carving and Display Cooking items, following Golden Corral recipes and procedures.
   • Grill all items according to standards to ensure quality.
   • Ensure fried products are always fresh and hot.
   • Restock items at the Display Cooking Station if the Buffet Attendant is unavailable.
   • Assist guests with carved meat options if the Carver is unavailable.
   • Follow the buffet production system to maintain quality and shelf life compliance.
2. Operational Excellence:
   • Maintain correct temperatures of all products during cooking, holding, and serving.
   • Use the Hot Choice Buffet Production Guide and Display Cooking Hot Cook Production Guide to manage inventory.
   • Conduct opening and closing administrative procedures.
   • Maintain equipment according to the Equipment Maintenance manual.
   • Restock and rotate food using the FIFO method.
   • Take inventory and coordinate build-to with the Manager at the start and end of each shift.
3. Cleanliness:
   • Keep the Hot Cook area and smallwares clean; check dishes for cleanliness before use.
   • Perform duty roster and ensure cleanliness, service, and quality standards are met.
   • Follow local health department laws.
   • Keep the Char Grill clean and scraped to ensure product quality and sanitation.
4. Guest Service:
   • Ensure Hot Choice Buffet products are always hot and fresh for guests.
   • Follow position responsibilities related to just-in-time delivery.
   • Be friendly and courteous to guests and assist with products.
   • Maintain professional communication at all times.
