Job Description

Qualifications/Experience: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Within one year obtain Serve Safe Certification and School Nurtition Level III Certification. Kitchen experience preferred. General knowledge of USDA rules and regulations, experience in food and nutrition service school environment preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed: Ues of standardized and specialized kitchen utensils and equipment; foor preparation and serving skills, dishwashing and cleaning skills; prositve relationship building, communication, and teamwork skills.

Exemplifies the following Five Character Traits: compassion, respect, responsibility, self discipline and honesty.

Specific Tasks: Assist Head Cook with the planning, organization, and operation of building kitchen to ensure students are served nutritionally appropriate meals in a timely, friendly, and customer- service focused manner. See the job description for additional information.
