Job summary

Brookings Health System in Brookings, SD is seeking a reliable Cook to join our team and deliver quality meals to patients and guests. This part-time role features a schedule of 8 hours per week with shifts that may include some weekends or holidays.

The Cook will prepare assigned food items according to standardized recipes, maintain clean work areas, and follow safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure high-quality service for our community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in a full-service restaurant, fast food, or institutional setting.
• ServSafe certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire date.
• Must be able to read and follow recipes.
• Must have a working knowledge of food service equipment.
• Must have basic knowledge of sanitation and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare entrees, vegetables, desserts, and salads as assigned.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion controls.

Compensation range for this position is $17.02 to $25.20, depending on experience.

The Cook will prepare assigned food items as needed based on standardized recipe to include but not limited to main entrees, vegetables, desserts and salads.

QUALIFICATIONS
