Overview

The COO of GTS position will have responsibility for leading and managing Strategy and Planning, IT Program Resiliency, and the office of the CIO operational requirements in support of the Global Technology (GTS) organization.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the development of the business unit strategy on both a multi-year and periodic basis in support of the company’s individual business unit’s long-term strategic plans, including those related to products and services.
  • Work closely with senior executives in GTS to develop plans and lead critical strategic initiatives.
  • In collaboration with the CIO, plan and coordinate financial planning across all strategic initiatives, including the annual corporate budget process.
  • Develop and direct the execution of operating policies, internal controls, and processes in support of division objectives.
  • Oversee general risk oversight activities, inclusive of regulatory and audit engagement oversight, and compliance activities in support of IT division resiliency.
  • Build strong relationships with executive teams across all business units.
  • Develop clear communication materials for the division; communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Lead the performance management process that measures and evaluates progress against goals.
  • Collaborate with the senior management team to improve general management and administrative procedures and operational support services.
  • Provide analytical insights alongside senior management in support of GTS performance reporting.
  • Act as an advisor to executive management, providing proactive guidance and thought leadership.
  • Engage with executive teams to shape business strategies and identify solutions.
  • Demonstrate problem assessment, resolution, and collaborative problem solving in a large complex IT setting.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in strategy and planning roles.
  • Minimum of 10 years of executive management experience, including people leadership.
  • Demonstrated leadership in IT operational resiliency.
  • Strong technical expertise in a large complex IT organization.
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience in analytics and/or reporting.
  • Applied analytic methods, interpreted data, and communicated results with recommendations for change or transformation.
  • Experience in IT project management with the ability to handle multiple priorities and lead teams, either through influence or direct accountability.
  • Results-focused and able to work effectively with a variety of internal and external constituents.
  • Proven senior executive with hands‑on leadership experience, combining technical and business depth.
  • Advanced degree or MBA in business administration preferred.
  • Regulatory and compliance knowledge relevant to global financial services, with familiarity with international regulations.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship management, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop employees in a matrix environment.
  • Experience aligning global, regional, and local objectives.

Salary Range

Salary Range: $225,000 - $337,500 annual. The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
