Job summary

Kimmel & Associates Inc. seeks a seasoned Chief Operating Officer to translate the CEO’s strategic vision into day-to-day operational execution across sales, rentals, service, parts, logistics, and fleet management.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of progressive leadership experience in heavy equipment, construction machinery, or industrial distribution.
• MBA strongly preferred; MBA or advanced business degree is advantageous.
• Deep understanding of dealership operations including rental fleets, depreciation strategies, RPO programs, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with growth objectives and CEO vision.
• Oversee daily dealership operations including Parts and Service to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Implement policies and automation tools (ERP, WMS) to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
• Recruit, develop, and motivate high-performing teams across sales, rental, service, and branch management.
• Lead equipment sales, rentals, logistics, maintenance, and fleet operations across multiple locations.
• Establish performance dashboards and analyze KPIs to guide decisions.
• Manage full lifecycle of heavy equipment including acquisitions and fleet rotation.
• Develop and manage operating budgets, capex plans, and revenue forecasts; oversee P&L and gross margin targets.
• Support expansion into new markets and integration of acquired businesses.
