Job summary

DCI is seeking a Maintenance Tech to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues within conveyor systems at our Memphis facility. You will work with engineering and estimating teams to ensure designs meet specs and codes.

The role requires 3+ years in conveyor/material handling, ability to read drawings, strong problem‑solving, collaboration, and up to 60% travel. The schedule is 40 hours with evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in the conveyor/material handling industry.
• Strong knowledge of material handling equipment, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiar with building codes and standards.
• Ability to read general arrangement drawings.
• Experience supporting Estimator during proposals.
• Willingness to travel up to 60%.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the system meets client specifications and codes.
• Evaluate material handling processes and consider tech innovations.
• Influence equipment and controls configuration based on space and contract.
• Develop general arrangement drawings and preliminary manifests.
• Assist Estimator with cost and timeline estimates.
• Support Engineering through project phases to maintain system integrity.
• Anticipate installation, testing and debugging phases.
• Draft technical documents and drawings for the project.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers and staff to understand handling needs.
• Evaluate current technology and propose improvements.
• Define testing and acceptance steps for customer requirements.
