Job summary

Continental is seeking personnel to install and maintain conveyor belts for mining operations in the US. You will perform belt installation, splicing, pulley maintenance, and ensure smooth operation under supervision of Crew Leader or Project Manager.

Responsibilities include inspection of equipment and adherence to safety protocols to prevent injuries and ensure quality workmanship. Prior experience in conveyor belt maintenance and mining is preferred.

Qualifications

Knowledge of mining operations, surface and underground.
Familiarity with conveyor belt maintenance (changing, splicing, vulcanizing).
Ability to read splice diagrams and conveyor blueprints.
Strong communication, detail-oriented, multitasking and proactive.
1–3 years’ conveyor belt maintenance experience; mining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Install new conveyor belt, change out existing belt, repair or splice conveyor belt.
Follow Crew Leader or Project Manager instructions to cover all tasks and training as needed.
Ensure equipment is maintained in proper working order to prevent injuries and hazards.
Inspect surrounding equipment to help prevent costly repairs and damage to new material.
