Job summary

Sofidel America in Shelby, NC is seeking a Converting Line Lead to supervise the Converting team, coach Operators, and drive safety and performance.

The role emphasizes TPM, 5S/Kaizen, scheduling, training, and continuous improvement, with a focus on engaging employees and maintaining a safe, productive line.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience in a paper manufacturing environment preferred.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Familiar with enterprise work order system required.
• Familiar with the Digital Control System for Machine Operators required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Operators have resources and tools required for daily performance.
• Direct Equipment Operators in daily operations of the Converting Line, ensuring they have the necessary skills to be effective.
• Implement training standards and processes to support OEE delivery and TPM fundamentals.
• Manage daily schedule building, adherence, and attainment for employees.
• Conduct daily work to drive performance improvement.
• Schedule and facilitate team meetings.
• Communicate and track key performance indicators.
• Uphold safety policies and procedures including lockout/tagout and PPE.
