Job summary

York Container Company Midwest is hiring for a Converting-General Labor position in Elgin, IL. The role supports machine setup and operation to minimize downtime and ensure quality in every production run.

The worker will assist with paperwork, safety procedures, and basic corrugated terminology. The successful candidate will read production orders, help with dye boards, plates, and ink handling, and work with the operator to meet time-saving targets while adhering to GMP and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist operator and supervisor in setup and running of machine with focus on reducing downtime.
• Ensure a quality product is released to customers.
• Follow safety and CTI/HRMS reporting processes.
• Read production orders and assist in maintaining quality.
