Job summary

Jabil, a leading engineering and manufacturing solutions provider, is seeking an assembler to perform back-end and box-build assembly to ensure on-time shipments of a quality product. Tasks include following detailed instructions, assembling components, scanning items, maintaining 5S and safety compliance, and performing routine preventive maintenance.

The role requires ability to read instructions, manage materials with FIFO, and maintain proficiency in multiple assembly operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to calculate quantity of parts and prep for use
• Ability to present information to managers, clients, and others
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions
• Ability to use Windows and PC software
• Advanced PC skills and familiarity with company software
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions and memos
• Ability to perform simple one- or two-step instructions
• Ability to handle standard situations with minimal variables
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret graphs

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed verbal or written instructions including visual aids.
• Verify incoming material for accuracy and store using FIFO inventory.
• Manually assemble an assembly or box-build system with tooling.
• Scan components from flow racks, bin or Kanban locations.
• Maintain proficiency in Assembler I, Router, Press Fit, RTV operations.
• Maintain proficiency in DF Pre-Kitting Assembly/Test, Hi-Pot Test, Bundle Kitting, Pack-Out.
• Pull and scan components from flow racks or bins.
• Conduct physical inventory of parts or assemblies.
• Execute Purge process as needed.
• Maintain production equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
• Maintain 5S order and cleanliness.
• Adhere to safety and security procedures.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
