Job summary

Fleet Farm in Monticello, MN is seeking a proactive C-Store Team Lead. You will guide a team in delivering exceptional customer service, manage POS transactions, and oversee gas mart operations including fuel pumps and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include coaching Team Members, maintaining stock, and ensuring compliance with tobacco, alcohol and food safety regulations. You will open/close the store and promote loyalty programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• 2 years of retail management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build relationships in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow regulations regarding tobacco, lottery, and alcohol transactions.
• Ensure all safe food handling requirements are followed.

• Ensure team understands emergency response protocols for spills and hazardous material handling.
• Answer customer questions concerning location, price, and product specifications.
• Maintain adequate stock levels of merchandise and restock as needed.
• Open and close the store and ensure overall security of the facility.
• Ensure displays are set up according to Company directives.
• Promote Fleet Farm loyalty program, credit card, and other initiatives.

The C-Store Team Lead is responsible for leading a team that provides an exceptional customer experience through the sale of fuel and other store merchandise, processing transactions at the point of sale, and assisting in the overall operations of the Convenience Store.

Job duties:

• Train, coach, mentor, develop, and supervise Team Members in the C-Store.
• Provide customers with a quick and efficient check-out experience with the accurate and efficient operation of transactions.
• Follow all city, county, state regulations and procedures regarding the transactions of tobacco products, lottery tickets, and alcohol.
• Responsible to ensure all safe food handling requirements are followed.
• Responsible for gas mart operations including maintenance of fuel pumps, fuel islands, fuel operating consoles, fuel tanker drops, and processing of all related documentation.
• Ensure all Team Members understand and follow all emergency response protocols in regards to spills and hazardous material handling.
• Answer customer questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise based upon product specifications.
• Maintain adequate stock levels of merchandise. Restock all merchandise as needed.
• Responsible for opening and closing of the store and overall security of the facility.
• Responsible for ensuring displays are set up according to Company directives.
• Positive promotion of Fleet Farm customer loyalty program, credit card, and other company initiatives.

Job Requirements and Education:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• 2 years of retail management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and build relationships in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to direct and motivate a diverse population that includes full-time and part-time Team Members.
• Ability to work in a variety of temperatures, including the cooler, freezer, and external/outdoor temperatures.
