Overview
Position Summary: The Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction related to the build out of an administrative building at a combined cycle powerplant in South Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Lead Construction Management for Assigned Projects
- Interface between client Project Manager and Plant Personnel with all project field activities
- Safety Leader/champion for assigned projects
- Initiate/own incident management process for capital projects in conjunction with Effingham Operations Leadership
- Interface between contractors and owners engineer
Required qualifications / skills
- Ideally 10 years of experience managing construction of industrial facilities (not looking for candidates from a residential construction background)
- Understanding of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Teams)
Pluses
- Familiarity with combined cycle or power generation facilities
- Familiarity with related industrial equipment (boilers, chillers, etc.)
- Related electrical equipment knowledge (conduit routing, wiring, controls)
- OSHA 10/OSHA 30 certification
Compensation
$50/hr to $65.75/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
