Responsibilities
- Analyze electrical, mechanical, and process controls issues to identify root cause, implement corrective action, and improve efficiency.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair various PLC platforms, VFDs, and motion control systems.
- Troubleshoot and install electrical control circuits based on electrical schematics.
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Support continuous improvement, production strategies, and plant reliability strategies.
- Create, maintain, and document Preventative Maintenance procedures and processes.
Required Skills & Education
- Journeyman or LME Oregon Electrical license
- An equivalent combination of education, out-of-state certification, and related work experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 2 years manufacturing or industrial experience required. Operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery including motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial/electronic controls and power transmission systems.
- Commitment to working safely.
- Must be able to work 12.5-hour shifts, including holidays if scheduled.
- Willingness to work overtime and adjust work schedules to accommodate shutdowns and other business needs, including nights, weekends, and off-shifts.
Desired Skills
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Minimum 5 years manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to use trend data and process test equipment.
- Ability to work independently with high initiative, self-directed and results oriented.
- Teamwork and communication skills including leadership, problem solving, and giving/receiving feedback.
