Base pay range: $24.00/hr - $28.00/hr

Job Summary

The Controls Technician assists in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) control systems. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, you will help ensure proper functioning of HVAC systems and controls across various environments.

Responsibilities

• Installing VAV, Unit, and Custom Controllers according to company standards.
• Troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning BMS & HVAC systems and electronics.
• Startup and commissioning of complete Building Automation Systems.
• Perform point-to-point checkout per standard procedures.
• Complete project commissioning documentation and maintain as-built records.
• Coordinate with installation subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time and meet code, standards, and contract requirements.
• Address TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications; analyze and correct communication issues.
• Work on construction sites and follow required safety measures.
• Adhere to project timelines and required processes.

Requirements

• 1‑3 years HVAC controls field experience or relevant military experience.
• Strong controls troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of construction and services processes used in HVAC services.
• Familiarity with third‑party control systems and integration platforms.
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail; able to read and interpret plans and manuals.
• Excellent customer service skills and desire to exceed customer expectations.
• Ability to work independently and ensure job is done correctly the first time.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills, oral and written.
