Job Title: Controls Technician
Location: Chattanooga, TN
Job Type: Full-Time

We’re seeking a Controls Technician in the Chattanooga, TN area!

This is a hands-on, field-based role focused on testing and startup of industrial electrical and controls systems. We’re looking for someone local to Chattanooga who can hit the ground running.

Note: This is not a software development role. The ideal candidate will be experienced with electrical and controls hardware and capable of executing system testing and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform onsite testing, commissioning, and startup of control systems and equipment

  • Configure and set up PLCs, drives, HMIs, and other controls hardware

  • Follow and verify documented test procedures and checklists

  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical/control issues in the field

  • Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure successful system deployment

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with controls hardware, including PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, etc.

  • Ability to configure and set up automation components (not necessarily write software from scratch)

  • Familiarity with electrical schematics, wiring, and control panels

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Willingness to work onsite at customer facilities around Chattanooga

Preferred

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms

  • Electrical or technical degree or relevant work experience
