Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a skilled technician to perform system commissioning, troubleshoot HVAC control issues, and deliver high-quality service on building automation systems. You will load controller software, diagnose from controllers to end devices, and prepare commissioning documentation while communicating clearly with customers.

Ideal candidates have a four-year vocational program or associate degree with relevant HVAC industry experience, plus strong safety and documentation practices.

Qualifications

• HVAC controls systems knowledge and experience.
• Experience with facilities management systems and site preparation.
• Ability to explain technical information to diverse audiences.
• Leadership skills to support mechanics on building automation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load system-level controller software and run diagnostics.
• Troubleshoot basic HVAC electrical/mechanical issues; respond to warranty calls.
• Maintain on-site documentation and communicate progress to customers.
• Provide solutions to improve facility efficiency and upsell where appropriate.
• Follow safety standards and complete required safety training.
