Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in thermal management, building systems and energy efficiency, seeks an HVAC commissioning technician in Linthicum, MD. You will load controller software, perform basic commissioning and diagnostics, and document all activities to ensure efficient building operation.

Role requires 2+ years of HVAC service experience, a related degree or license, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to program HVAC software.

Qualifications

• HVAC license or a 2-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field.
• Minimum of 2 years related working experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
• Generally required knowledge includes HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
• Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
• Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people; leadership to support Mechanics on non-complex Building Automation work.
• PC experience and ability to program HVAC related software.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with the JCI contractor or customer on arrival and before leaving the site.
• Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training.
• Provides recommendations to improve facility efficiency and upsell opportunities.
• Provides quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

What You Will Do

Performs assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. Troubleshoots and resolves basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems. Responds to basic warranty calls. Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service related items. As a trusted advisor to our customers you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service.

How You Will Do It

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $22.00-33.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
