Job summary

Sure Controls Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Controls Systems Engineer to design, develop, and implement machine and process control systems for extrusion plastics and converting. You will support customers with motion control, web handling, and converting equipment while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes safe, efficient systems and strong customer interaction, with travel requirements lower than peer roles. Occasional remote work may be possible.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or equivalent in automation or motion control.
• Minimum 3 years related experience and strong communication skills.
• Experience with customers and vendors.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical components.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a positive customer experience and address service requests.
• Assist project managers from inception to installation and acceptance.
• Develop milestones, parts lists, orders, and electrical schematics.
• Lead/startup of systems at shop and customer site.
• Program PLCs, temperature controls, drives, and HMI systems.
• Provide guidance to customers, panel shops, and teammates.
• Occasional after-hours and on-call 2–3 weeks per year.
