Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Orlando, FL is seeking a Controls Systems Engineer to design, program, and commission large-scale control systems. You will develop PLC/DCS software, HMI/SCADA configurations, and electrical schematics for themed entertainment projects on-site across offices, parks, and sites.

The role requires strong knowledge of ladder logic, RSLogix/Siemens/TIA Portal, and safety standards, with travel flexibility. Competitive salary, benefits, and ESOP included.

Qualifications

• BSEE or similar with 5+ years of commercial experience.
• PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and field instrumentation.
• Ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagram.
• Rockwell/ Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric platforms and programming environments RSLogix, Step 7/ TIA Portal.
• Electrical schematics, Power Distribution, Control panels, NEC, UL, UML, SysML, MATLAB.
• Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation, Conveyers, Material Handling.
• Implementing/testing/commissioning/qualification of automation solutions.
• Ethernet-based controls and Safety systems – Hazard Analysis.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop control system software, including PLC/ DCS programming, HMI design, and SCADA configuration.
• Design, develop, and implement control system logic software and hardware to meet requirements.
• Develop schematics detailing control system configuration and wiring, and design equipment panel layouts on AutoCAD.
