Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking a Controls Software Engineer for an industrial robotics program in Seattle, WA or Boston, MA. This role involves sustaining and improving a fleet of robotic workcells and requires strong Structured Text development skills and hands-on hardware experience.

Successful candidates will investigate system faults, drive performance improvements, and work on-site in a collaborative environment. The position offers a full-time contract engagement with the potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Strong IEC 61131-3 Structured Text development experience is required.
• Real controls / PLC software development background is necessary.
• Hands-on experience with servos, drives, sensors, and motion systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve bugs and faults in the control application.
• Address performance gaps and throughput shortfalls.
• Write, test, and validate control code on physical test machines.
