Job summary

e Solutions in Indianapolis is seeking an entry-level Controls Technician helper. You will assist in installing and setting up control systems, wiring and assembling components, and learn to interpret schematics under experienced technicians.

This role focuses on learning, performing routine maintenance, testing and calibrating components, and supporting inventory and documentation. Ideal for someone with a HS diploma who is eager to develop hands-on technical skills in a collaborative team

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; coursework in electronics or related field preferred.
• Prior experience or training in electrical systems or controls is beneficial but not required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation and setup of control systems, including wiring and assembly of components.
• Learn to troubleshoot control systems under the guidance of controls technicians.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on control systems and equipment.
• Assist in testing and calibrating control system components.
• Help maintain inventory of parts and supplies used in control system installations.
• Learn to interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working on control systems.
• Maintain tools and equipment used in control system installations and maintenance.
• Assist in documenting procedures and specifications related to control systems.
• Support controls technicians in completing assigned tasks effectively.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to learn and follow instructions from controls technicians.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Education and Experience:

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and working in various environmental conditions.
