Job summary

State Group Automation in Troy, MI, is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to design, commission, and support automated systems for automotive, manufacturing, and supply chain projects. You will work with customers, contractors, and project teams to ensure safe, reliable operations and optimized throughput.

Requirements include 2+ years as a Controls Engineer, a Bachelor's in a related field, strong PLC and HMI knowledge, and the ability to travel across North America with a valid passport.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering or programming field.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs and HMIs.
• Willingness to travel across North America; passport and driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all safety standards.
• Collaborate effectively with customers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Support electrical and software design as needed.
• Start-up, debug and troubleshooting of PLC Controls at Build Shop and customer's site.
• Throughput optimization and site improvements.
