Job summary

Fluidstack seeks a Controls Engineer to develop and test PLC programs for data-center mechanical equipment, and to write portable code across Siemens, Codesys, and virtualized PLCs. You will collaborate with mechanical teams to validate sequences in a lab environment before live deployment.

You will install and wire PLCs and sensors, debug IO, and ensure field commissioning is a verification step. Equity in stock options is offered.

Qualifications

• Wrote and tested PLC programs for mechanical equipment and validated on real hardware.
• Programmed across more than one PLC platform and avoided vendor lock-in.
• Turned sequences of operations into working PLC code and caught gaps in SOOs before deployment.
• Wired PLCs, IO, and sensors and traced faults to the physical layer when needed.
• Wrote structured, reusable code so templates are reused across projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test template PLC programs for data center equipment across sites.
• Write portable code across Siemens, Codesys, and virtualized PLCs so one program runs on different controllers.
• Develop and tune SOOs with controls and mechanical teams and implement in PLC code.
• Install and wire PLCs and sensors in a lab environment to validate programs before live deployment.
• Debug programs against real IO and failure conditions to streamline field commissioning.
