Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a Junior Controls Engineer for our Chicago-area facility in Bridgeview, IL. The role is on-site and focuses on PLC programming, electrical troubleshooting, and controls maintenance for automated production lines.

You will work hands-on with robotic conveyors and packaging systems, reading schematics, adjusting PLCs, and collaborating with maintenance teams. Local candidates with 1+ years of experience are favored, with opportunity for growth in a stable manufacturing

Qualifications

Hands-on PLC programming and electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret control schematics and electrical drawings.
Experience with VFDs, servos, HMIs and industrial networks is a plus.
Strong technical education accepted with limited field experience considered.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and maintain electrical/electronic systems across production equipment.
Adjust and troubleshoot PLC programs to diagnose issues.
Read wiring schematics and control drawings and redline as needed.
Tune and troubleshoot equipment to maintain operation within tolerances.
Install and inspect electrical conduit and busbar systems per codes.
Readily diagnose issues to minimize downtime.
