Job summary
Job Juncture is seeking a Junior Controls Engineer for our Chicago-area facility in Bridgeview, IL. The role is on-site and focuses on PLC programming, electrical troubleshooting, and controls maintenance for automated production lines.
You will work hands-on with robotic conveyors and packaging systems, reading schematics, adjusting PLCs, and collaborating with maintenance teams. Local candidates with 1+ years of experience are favored, with opportunity for growth in a stable manufacturing
Qualifications
- Hands-on PLC programming and electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret control schematics and electrical drawings.
- Experience with VFDs, servos, HMIs and industrial networks is a plus.
- Strong technical education accepted with limited field experience considered.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and maintain electrical/electronic systems across production equipment.
- Adjust and troubleshoot PLC programs to diagnose issues.
- Read wiring schematics and control drawings and redline as needed.
- Tune and troubleshoot equipment to maintain operation within tolerances.
- Install and inspect electrical conduit and busbar systems per codes.
- Readily diagnose issues to minimize downtime.
