Job summary

Marvin is seeking a CEPG Controls Engineer to design, program, troubleshoot, and support PLC-based controls across manufacturing and facility equipment. You will collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations to improve machine efficiency and implement new control technologies.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field, 2+ years of experience, and the ability to travel. Relocation support is available for Fargo, ND-based work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent 4-year degree in a related field preferred.
  • Two or more years related experience/training required.
  • Ability to use electrical test equipment and hand tools.
  • Proficient ability to read and understand prints and schematics.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
  • Working knowledge of PLC and Operator Interface programming languages is required.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • RESEARCH/FORWARD THINKING - Assist in the research, analysis, installation and testing of automation control systems to improve machine efficiency and advance current systems to meet project and future production demands while maintaining feedback loops and end user training.
  • TROUBLESHOOTING/RESOLUTION/PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE - Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and programmatic problems to provide solutions and enhance equipment effectiveness.
  • RELATIONSHIPS - Liaise with vendors and engineering teams to align controls with specifications and internal standards.
  • COMMUNICATION - Maintain proactive communication and train/mentor teammates to foster teamwork.
  • SAFETY - Follow Marvin safety policies and safe work procedures.
