Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Controls Engineer in San Jose, CA for a direct/salaried, hybrid role. The position offers a salary range of $80k–$120k with full benefits, bonuses, ESOP, and profit sharing for a semiconductor/ data center environment.

You will design, develop, program, and implement control systems across industrial applications, collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams to meet performance goals.

Qualifications

• BS EE or equivalent with 2–5 years of experience.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagrams.
• Familiarity with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Modicon environments.
• Understanding of electrical schematics, power distribution, NEC code.
• Experience in implementing, testing, commissioning, and qualifying automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop control system software, including PLC programming, HMI design, and SCADA configuration.
• Design and implement control system logic for processes and equipment.

The urgent need is to work for a semiconductor manufacturing facility and/ or Data Centers.

OVERVIEW

As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, programming, and implementing control systems for a wide range of industrial applications. You will work closely with our clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated control solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.

ROLE/ RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop control system software, including PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming, HMI (Human-Machine Interface) design, and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) configuration.
• Design, develop, and implement control system logic software and hardware to meet process, machine, and integrated system requirements.
• Develop control logic software and user interface applications.
• Develop schematics detailing control system configuration and wiring, and design equipment panel layouts on AutoCAD software.

REQUIRED/ HIGHLY EXPERIENCE

• BSEE or similar with 2-5 ish years of experience
• PLCs, HMIs, SCADA
• Ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagram
• Control system software platforms (e.g., Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Modicon) and familiarity with relevant programming environments
• Electrical schematics, Power Distribution, Control panels, and process control narratives, NEC Code
• Implementing/ testing/ commissioning/ qualifying automation solutions
