This position is remote but candidates must reside in Virginia, North Carolina, or South Carolina to support regional customers and travel requirements.

We are seeking a Controls Engineer with strong Distributed Control System (DCS) experience to support automation projects and ongoing customer operations throughout the region.

This individual will be responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, testing, and supporting DCS solutions for industrial manufacturing customers. The role requires a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems while working directly with plant personnel, operations teams, and maintenance groups.

• Ability to work directly with customers in industrial manufacturing environments.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Travel

• Travel typically ranges from 10%-25%.
• Most travel is planned in advance and tied to project commissioning, upgrades, or customer support activities.

Preferred Background

• Pulp and paper industry experience.
