Job summary

Zapnix LLC in Johns Creek, GA is seeking a Controls Engineer/ Electromechanical Technical Support Engineer to support the design, maintenance and troubleshooting of automated manufacturing equipment onsite. The role requires deep knowledge of electrical control circuits, PLC systems (Siemens), VFDs, instrumentation and P&IDs, with experience in FDA-regulated environments.

Second shift availability and hands-on problem solving are essential.

Role: Controls Engineer/ Electromechanical Technical Support Engineer

Work Location: Johns Creek, GA (Onsite)

Position Type: Full Time Permanent

Second Shift: Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM EST.

Must-Have Skill Sets:

• Five (5) years of related experience with technical certification or seven (7) years of related experience in a manufacturing environment if no technical certification; experience must include manufacturing equipment maintenance, repair and trouble shooting.
• knowledge of Electrical control circuits (24VDC-480VAC), Instrumentation (pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, conductivity meters), VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), PLC-controlled systems (Siemens) Reading and interpreting P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams), As-built drawings
• Familiarity for Maintenance and repair of Centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, Agitators and mixers, Mechanical seals, packing, and bearings, Valves (ball, gate, check, control, relief, emergency shutdown), Pressure vessels and storage tanks, Heat exchangers and cooling systems.
• Experienced in FDA regulations and safety practices.
