Job summary

Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization in the Hopkinsville, KY area to find a Controls Engineer to support advanced automation, equipment launches, robotics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role involves designing and implementing controls, programming PLCs/HMI, and supporting projects from concept through startup, with a base salary in the $75k-100k range and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of controls/automation experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with PLC/HMI programming & troubleshooting, Allen-Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi, Ladder Logic, Structured Text & SQL, AutoCAD or similar drafting/design software.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement controls for automated manufacturing equipment
• Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs, HMIs, robotics, vision systems, and industrial networks
• Support automation projects from concept through installation, commissioning, and startup
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform root cause analysis
• Support new equipment installations and product launches
• Partner with maintenance and production to improve uptime and reliability
• Develop and maintain electrical drawings and controls documentation
• Drive cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
• Train maintenance and operations teams on new equipment and troubleshooting
