Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Pontiac, Illinois is seeking an electrical controls engineer to test and modify control systems, develop procedures, and provide technical support. You will analyze data, collaborate with engineers and purchasers, and train staff and customers while ensuring health, safety, and quality standards. Strong PLC/SCADA knowledge and proficiency with MS Office are required. This on-site role offers exposure to industrial automation and new business proposals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year college or university.
  • Ability to write technical documents and business proposals.
  • Knowledge of APC, DCS, PLC, and SCADA.
  • Basic communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ladder-logic related software.

Responsibilities

  • Test and modify existing control systems.
  • Review, revise, and improve existing procedures and documents.
  • Analyze data and reports results to management and staff.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers, and other internal staff.
  • Provide technical/troubleshooting support for electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality regulations.
