Job summary

Lear For You in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Controls Engineer on 2nd shift to develop and implement software and hardware changes that reduce downtime and boost production efficiency. You will troubleshoot PLCs, coordinate with contractors, and support a cross-functional team to maintain top performance on the production line.

The role requires a BAS degree with 3 years of related experience (or equivalent) and hands-on Rockwell PLC programming, HMI (PanelView) development, and familiarity

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BAS) or equivalent with 3 years of related experience.
  • Experience with PLCs (ControlLogix, MicroLogix, CompactLogix) and ladder logic.
  • HMI programming knowledge (PanelView, etc.).
  • Experience with automation equipment (Fanuc/ABB robots, vision systems).

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements software and hardware changes to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Troubleshooting and programming of PLCs to resolve problems, improve efficiency and quality.
  • Instruct and coordinate activities of department personnel to maintain top efficiency.
  • Coordinate work with outside contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Work with other departments to ensure optimal production line performance.
