Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group seeks an experienced controls engineer to upgrade a legacy Allen Bradley printing system. The role focuses on Siemens S7 15xx PLCs and AB PLC troubleshooting, with integration of conveyors and new equipment into an aging setup.

You will modify programs for the new layout, manage the full project, and communicate findings clearly in both spoken and written forms as issues arise.

Qualifications

• Experience with Siemens S7 15xx PLC programming.
• Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Inheriting a legacy Allen Bradley controlled printing system with conveyors and equipment.
• System ages around 15 years with obsolete controls and communications.
• Must modify programs for new layout and integrate new equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install and rewire equipment in a legacy Allen Bradley printing system.
• Tie new conveyors and equipment into the existing setup.
• Modify PLC programs to accommodate layout changes and new hardware.
• Work independently and manage the entire project from start to finish.
• Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing throughout troubleshooting.

Job Description: Roles & Responsibilities:

• Required – PLC Programming experience in Siemens controllers: S7 15xx.
• Need to be proficient in Allen Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• This plant is inheriting allen bradley controlled printing system with 2 print tables, many conveyors, a couple of glass stackers, drying & cooling chambers for glass from another plant.
• This system is about 15 years old and all controls, communications are obsolete systems.
• This person will be involved in the installment, will have to jumble up the equipment since its a different layout that will require the program to need heavy modifications.
• Adding in conveyors and tie new equipment into obsolete system
• Ability to work independently and manage whole project
• Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to analyze the problem and provide solutions during the trouble shooting situations
