Controls Engineer
Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of PowerSCADA and Inductive Ignition systems. This role involves working closely with contractors and clients to understand their needs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the successful implementation of our solutions. The focus will be on the deployment of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) at data center facilities, requiring effective teamwork and direct interface with contractors and end-users daily.

Responsibilities
  • Perform software installation, customization, and start-up services.
  • Conduct start-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical power monitoring equipment.
  • Manage device communications and provide customer training for the commissioned system.
  • Consult with customers to determine system operation requirements.
  • Install and upgrade EPMS software.
  • Install, configure, commission Schneider Electric, Induction software, and 3rd party hardware.
  • Perform start-up services and system troubleshooting.
  • Document the as-built system and technically troubleshoot network communications.
  • Interpret contract specifications and electrical or mechanical drawings.
  • Work effectively in a group setting, exhibiting team orientation, self-motivation, and results-driven behavior.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Skills and Qualifications Required
  • Experience working around electrical equipment such as switchgear, generators, and UPS systems.
  • Knowledgeable in computer programming languages such as Visual Basic, C/C++, Python, etc.
  • Proficiency with databases like SQL and HTML development.
  • HMI configuration experience, including graphical screen development.
  • Direct experience with software like Power Monitoring Expert, Power SCADA Expert, and Inductive Ignition.
  • Willingness to travel 75%.
Work Environment

This role requires 75% travel, with remote training provided for 6 weeks prior to being on-site. The work environment includes direct interaction with clients and contractors, focusing on data center facilities with advanced technology systems.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
