Job summary

Actalent is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer in Omaha, NE to design, program and optimize manufacturing equipment and automation systems. You will partner with the Engineering team on capital projects, applying PLC programming and Allen-Bradley expertise to improve plant performance.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in manufacturing controls, a mechanical engineering background, and hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation and AutoCAD/Inventor for panel design and documentation.

Job Title: Controls Engineer

Job Description

The Controls Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design, programming, troubleshooting, and enhancement of plant manufacturing equipment and automation systems. This position involves close collaboration with the Engineering team on capital projects to optimize operational efficiency.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on programming.
• Strong background in controls programming.
• Proficiency in PLC programming and Allen-Bradley systems.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation.
• Mechanical Engineering degree or related field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Inventor software.
• Knowledge of machine guarding and robotics.
• Experience in control panel design and wiring.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $120000.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
