Brief Description

Due to growth and expansion, Satterfield and Pontikes Construction is adding a Controls Engineer to our corporate office in Houston, TX. In this role you will assist with the planning and execution of project controls, processes, and deliverables within the Project Controls team. You will assist in user training, data entry, troubleshooting, and reporting to ensure consistent and effective use of software platforms across projects. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to maintain consistency, streamline workflows, and drive project performance.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Construction Management and 1‑4 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Cost Accountant, or a similar role with a commercial general contractor. You will work closely with our Senior Project Manager, focusing on all our projects from a cost accounting and controls perspective and helping to increase efficiencies.

Duties

• Establishes and maintains professional relationships with project teams.
• Promote and ensure compliance with company standards and processes.
• Resolve requests regarding the company’s project controls systems in a timely and effective manner.
• Leverage new technologies to improve Autodesk workflows.

Requirements

• Degree in Construction Management.
• 1‑3 years of experience in construction, engineering, or design; commercial construction experience.
