Job description

Essential Functions
  • Advisement and participation in all robotic and automation installations
  • Independently performs and implements projects which have a direct impact on company profitability
  • Develop a general understanding of the plan process and products
  • Installation and troubleshooting of Fanuc or Moto Man
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics to repair/troubleshoot electrical systems
  • Knowledge of high voltage systems and distribution.
  • Knowledge of utility systems (water, air, hydraulic, etc).
  • Working knowledge of process controls technology (both current and past)
  • Excellent working knowledge and experience of a wide variety of controls hardware-Relay logic, PLCs including ControlLogix, and CompLogix, Frequency Drives etc. Allen Bradley
  • Proficient in controls and user interface software (FactoryTalk View ME/SE, RSLogix, RSLogix 5000, Panelview, and others)
  • Experience working with Ethernet
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software product (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Autocad

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

This job operates in a professional office environment in our Florence facility. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines which create low-moderate noise.

Expected Hours of Work

This is a salaried, exempt level, full-time position with standard working days/hours of Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm with overtime as necessary to complete required tasks. Actual working hours may vary.

Travel

Travel is moderate, and some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected. Travel to Germany or other international locations possible for training/conferences. Anticipated travel is 50%.

Required Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field and 2 to 3 years’ related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical codes and related regulations.
  • Design competence of electrical circuits by use of AutoCAD systems.
Preferred Education And Experience
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley PowerFlex Drive systems and AC motors as well as general programming skills a plus.
  • Knowledge of Yaskawa Drive systems a plus.
  • Familiar with UL, CSA, NFPA and OSHA requirements.
  • Previous experience in capital equipment design and manufacturing.
