Job description

Essential Functions

Advisement and participation in all robotic and automation installations
Independently performs and implements projects which have a direct impact on company profitability
Develop a general understanding of the plan process and products
Installation and troubleshooting of Fanuc or Moto Man
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics to repair/troubleshoot electrical systems
Knowledge of high voltage systems and distribution.
Knowledge of utility systems (water, air, hydraulic, etc).
Working knowledge of process controls technology (both current and past)
Excellent working knowledge and experience of a wide variety of controls hardware-Relay logic, PLCs including ControlLogix, and CompLogix, Frequency Drives etc. Allen Bradley
Proficient in controls and user interface software (FactoryTalk View ME/SE, RSLogix, RSLogix 5000, Panelview, and others)
Experience working with Ethernet
Proficient in Microsoft Office software product (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Autocad

This job operates in a professional office environment in our Florence facility. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines which create low-moderate noise.

Expected Hours of Work

This is a salaried, exempt level, full-time position with standard working days/hours of Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm with overtime as necessary to complete required tasks. Actual working hours may vary.

Travel

Travel is moderate, and some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected. Travel to Germany or other international locations possible for training/conferences. Anticipated travel is 50%.

Required Education And Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field and 2 to 3 years’ related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Solid knowledge of electrical codes and related regulations.
Design competence of electrical circuits by use of AutoCAD systems.

Preferred Education And Experience

Knowledge of Allen Bradley PowerFlex Drive systems and AC motors as well as general programming skills a plus.
Knowledge of Yaskawa Drive systems a plus.
Familiar with UL, CSA, NFPA and OSHA requirements.
Previous experience in capital equipment design and manufacturing.
