Acloché LLC in the Oneida, NY area is seeking a Controls Engineer to design and implement machine control systems for a World Class Manufacturer. The role involves AutoCAD-based design, VFD/motor selection, and PLC/HMI development, with multi-site commissioning and travel.

The ideal candidate has an engineering degree (AAS or BS) with 5+ years of experience, proficiency with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Siemens controls, and familiarity with NEC and machine safety standards.

Qualifications

• AAS or BS in Engineering with 5+ years of experience (or equivalent).
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with National Electrical Code and machine safety standards.
• Eligibility to work in the US without restriction.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop machine control systems using AutoCAD, including sizing and selection of VFDs, motors, filters, protection devices, PLC's, and HMI's.
• Program, modify, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and ladder logic systems, along with Siemens controls support.
• Lead installation, integration, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment across multiple local facilities (approximately 30% travel).
• Provide hands-on electrical and controls troubleshooting support to maintenance teams, including equipment diagnostics, upgrades, wiring, and real-time machine issue resolution.
• Connect to equipment, diagnose control system issues, and modify or develop PLC logic to support production and operational improvements.
