Job summary

KYYBA Inc. seeks a Controls Engineer to lead electrical design for hydraulic stamping presses and automation upgrades. Responsibilities include HMI, PLC, Safety PLC design, hardware and panel layouts, risk assessments, and commissioning.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Electrical Engineering or related tech degree, strong AutoCAD Electrical and Studio 5000 experience, and willingness to travel internationally (Canada/Mexico) with relocation to California/USA.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering/technologies or technician degree or equivalent work experience
• AutoCAD Electrical experience
• ePLC programming experience (Rockwell, Mitsubishi and Siemens preferred) – must have
• Electrical hardware design and modification experience
• Experience with equipment demolition, installation, and commissioning
• Ability to multitask and work in a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to travel and work in Canada and Mexico
• Able to work weekends and holidays as necessary

Responsibilities

• Create and modify HMI programs using GP-pro software on Pro-face hardware
• Review and verify HMI programs during customer buyoffs
• Create and modify PLC programs using Studio 5000, RSLinx, IAB, and other software on listed hardware
• Review and verify PLC design during customer buyoff
• Create and modify Safety PLC programs and verify design during customer buyoffs
• Create hardware layouts using AutoCAD Electrical and other tools
• Create and modify Panel Layouts and perform risk assessments
• Create Field Device Layouts and supervise installation during upgrades
• Provide Full Line Commissioning support before/during/after installation of press upgrades
