Job description

About This Opportunity

Cascade Energy is seeking an experienced, hands-on Controller to own the accuracy and integrity of its books and the reliability of its core financial operations. Cascade Energy is employee-owned (ESOP), and this role sits at the center of accounting for Cascade Energy, its parent company, and affiliated businesses. The Controller has ultimate responsibility for all accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivables, payroll, monthly and annual close processes, consolidated reporting, cash, banking, audits, and ESOP-related accounting and compliance.

The ideal candidate is a CPA who combines strong technical judgment with an operational mindset and takes pride in getting the details right every time. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. The Controller works closely with the Assistant Controller, who manages the day-to-day accounting team, and with FP&A, HR, and Cascade’s auditors, bank, ESOP trustee, and plan administrators.
